The Impact of Climate Change on Reproductive Health in Kyrgyzstan: From Data to Action
The analytical report “The Impact of Climate Change on Reproductive Health in Kyrgyzstan: From Data to Action” is the first comprehensive study in the country to explore the interlinkages between climate risks and reproductive health.
Developed by the National Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the technical support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the publication consolidates existing data on how environmental and climatic factors affect maternal, newborn, and women’s health. It identifies key data gaps, institutional barriers, and offers actionable recommendations for national policy and health system adaptation.
The report highlights the importance of collective efforts by government, civil society, and international partners to address climate-related risks and promote sustainable development that protects the health and well-being of all.
