Policy brief: Strengthening Health Emergency Preparedness and Readiness to Advance Health Security in the Kyrgyz Republic

The United Nations in Kyrgyzstan together with the Institute of Public Policy and Administration of the University of Central Asia presents a policy briefs, produced as a result of a multi-stakeholder dialogue with participation of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, development partners, academia, private sector and civil society. In this document a short review of the current situation and trends in health emergency preparedness policy is presented as well as a set of recommendations for coordinating such policy in terms of legislation, implementation of the International Health Regulations, organizing volunteers and psychological help during emergencies and many other aspects.
